Lara: I’m sure good roles will of course come

In last year and a half, there has been a flurry of films starring Lara Dutta with BILLU, DO KNOT DISTURB, BLUE and HOUSEFULL coming one after another. However, as things stand today, it won’t be a year before one would see Lara Dutta on the big screen again. For someone who has impressed every time when given an opportunity, whether it is PARTNER, JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM, NO ENTRY, MASTI or ANDAAZ, she definitely deserves a lot-lot more. Doesn’t she also feel that she should be getting a lot more visibility in the world of movies?
“Well, all I can say is that you make the best of the choices that come your way,” says Lara after a pause, “When I look back, it has been a good innings so far. Whether it is the films that you mention or even BILLU which came last year, they all have been very special to me in my career. Perhaps a few films may not have done well but as an actor they took me forward. These films gave me a chance to be seen in performance oriented roles.”

When Sonam Kapoor’s pant slip off

Wardrobe Malfunction has been experienced by many Bollywood beauties like Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu, Kangana Ranaut, Sherlyn Chopra and several others. Adding another name to the list is the Kapoor scion Sonam Kapoor. Sonam nearly escaped wardrobe malfunction. Her pants was about to slip off completely.

It all happened at the promotional event of ‘Aisha’ at a radio station recently. Sonam in full upbeat mood was interacting and dancing with her fans. Slowly, her pants started to slip. Conscious Sonam quickly managed the situation and lifted her pant. Two things are assumed, her pant might have loosen or the pins might have broken down.

Whatever, she acted smartly and managed the situation. Her assistant quickly stepped in and fastened the trousers again with a safety pin.

Lara Dutta is PETA India`s Lettuce Lady

Actor Lara Dutta has become the new face of PETA’s Go Vegetarian campaign. The actor recently shot for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) wearing a Gavin Miguel dress made of lettuce leaves and other vegetables. The ‘going vegetarian’ campaign roots for anti-meat drive as the meat industry causes animal suffering on a massive scale. Figures indicate that many animals are subjected to torture as chickens are crowded by the thousands into dark sheds that reek of ammonia from the accumulated waste in which the animals are forced to stand. Other animals like birds, goats, sheep, pigs, even cows and other animals are crammed in a small place and killed painfully. The organization also suggest that cruelty towards fish is on the rise as on the decks of fishing boats, fish are often cut open while they are still alive. The organization debates that people who follow a plant-based diet have lower rates of heart disease, strokes, cancer, diabetes and obesity than meat-eaters. Meat production also consumes far more water, land and other natural resources than producing
