Lindsay Lohan Dresses As Nun, Licks A Gun For ‘Machete’ Poster

It looks like Lindsay Lohan is packing heat for her role in “Machete.”
In a promotional photo released by Twentieth Century Fox, the controversy-laden actress is pictured licking a gun – dressed in a nun’s habit.
In the film, starring Danny Trejo, Lindsay plays April Benz, also known as “The Sister”, a character that director Robert Rodriguez calls “a cool part”for her.
“Machete” is Lindsay’s first movie since “Labor Pains,” which went straight to DVD, and her first action film.
It also stars Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro and Michelle Rodriguez. “Machete” hits theaters on September 3.

Michael Lohan, Dina Lohan React To Lindsay’s 90-Day Sentence

Michael Lohan is distraught that his daughter, Lindsay Lohan, was sentenced to jail, but he has some hope following Tuesday’s dramatic hearing in Los Angeles.
“Dismay,” Michael told Larry King on CNN’s “Larry King Live,” after the talk show host asked his reaction to Judge Marsha Revel’s sentence for his daughter – 90 days in jail. “But at the same time, [a] little satisfaction that she’s going to a rehab. But the last thing in the world I wanted was for my daughter to go to jail.”
According to Michael’s attorney, Lisa Bloom, who appeared on “LKL” alongside the father and Dr. Drew Pinksy, the two wrote a letter to court, telling the judge that they did not want to see Lindsay go to jail, but instead rehab. Michael went on to say that jail is the wrong place for his daughter, who turned 24 last week.
“Any kind of jail is harsh, especially for a young lady like Lindsay that doesn’t need jail,” he said. “I’ve been there myself and I know jail didn’t do anything for me with my addictions.”
Michael continued to insist that his daughter needs help for what he has claimed for months, is an problem with prescription pills. Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, previously told Access Hollywood that the actress considers Michael’s claims defamatory.
“Lisa, Dr. Drew and myself have been telling everybody that this girl needs a rehab, she needs help. [Dr. Drew] wanted to help her, he offered to help her a long time ago. If Lindsay’s lawyer and Lindsay would have just listened to us, she would have been in a rehab, she would have been on a way to being clean and sober and have her life back,” Michael said. “Instead, she got jail and rehab.”
When asked why he and Lindsay aren’t on speaking terms presently, Michael claimed it had to do with his insistence that she go to rehab.
“Because I’m speaking out, like I am today,” he said.
In related news, Dina Lohan, Lindsay’s mother, who was not with her daughter in court on Tuesday (Michael and Lindsay’s sister, Ali, both were in the courtroom), issued a statement to AOL’s Popeater over her daughter’s sentence.
“This is so not fair to do to my child,” she said.
What Will Lindsay Lohan’s Time In Jail Be Like?

Lindsay Lohan will likely not serve the 90 days she was sentenced to on Tuesday, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department told Access Hollywood.
Steve Whitmore, a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Department, told Accessthat general, non-violent females are eligible to serve just 25 percent of their sentence – which in Lohan’s case would amount to around 22 days.
Whitmore noted, however, that the official number of days isn’t likely to be calculated until Judge Marsha Revel, who sentenced Lohan on Tuesday for violating her DUI probation, hands down the court order.
Like Paris Hilton before her, who spent 23 days in lock up, Lohan will be held in Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., where she will be in seclusion.
Hilton too was held in seclusion, spending her sentence in a cell away from the general population.
Lohan will be kept away from the general population for her safety and the security of everyone involved in the jail, Whitmore told a group of reporters following the actress’ hearing in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.
She must turn herself into the court by July 20.
Lohan will then be handed over to the Sheriff’s Department, which runs the jails.
Lohan and Hilton aren’t the only stars who have received substantial jail time for probation violations. While Hilton, who was originally sentenced to 45 days, and served just 23, former “24” star Kiefer Sutherland was sentenced to 48 days in jail in late 2007/early 2008, all of which the actor served.
Sutherland, who served his sentence in Glendale, Calif., received 30 days for a DUI charge and 18 for violating a pre-existing probation on a similar charge.
